another idea

we live on a piece of carpet, along with our cage. near our cage is a bookshelf. we will climb to the top of the cage, then jump to the top of the bookshelf. we will be halfway there.

why do you want to be halfway there?

we want to be halfway there. we are optimists. we'll be halfway to the top.
